It's funny how the "non-traditional" Christmas things can become what our children and family expect. I usually make a pot of chili on Christmas eve, which we (and our guests) consume with gusto after our church's candlelight service. Please pass me the crackers, cheddar cheese and ketchup. The onions are in the blue bowl over there, if you should want them.
