Yep, that's me...
Hub was camping this weekend�Valentine�s weekend! Every February, the Boy Scouts of America schedule a winter camporee at Valley Forge National Park. This weekend seems to always fall around Valentine�s Day.
It worked out well; though, because the Hub HATES to dance and a bunch of people from work were going out to the local dance club to celebrate my friend Jane�s 60th birthday. We went to the club that features Jerry Blavat, "The Geator with The Heater", on Friday nights. He was a very popular DJ in Philly back in the 60�s.
For the first couple of hours the �Geater� played all the line dance music like the Soul City Walk, Cha Cha Slide, The Bosa Nova and the Stroll. Most of the people who arrive early in the night are in their 60�s and early 70�s and DAMN, can they dance!!!
As the night progressed, Jerry left and the next DJ started to play more current music and that�s when I got up to shake my ass. I danced from 11:00 � 2:00 with some of the girls and one of the young guys (32) we work with.
At one point this young stud had the nerve to tell me that all of the women were jealous of me because I was dancing with him. I quickly corrected him and told him that �No, all the men were jealous of him because he was dancing with the best looking woman there
These young guys � they sure have a lot to learn.
Hub came home yesterday around 12:00 and we were able to celebrate Valentine�s Day a day late!
